| “Purls Of Joy” April 29 & 30, 2011 It’s that time of year again. Yes, the “Purls Of Joy” Seminar will soon be here. Preparations are starting. The Upper Midwest Knitting Machine Dealers will be working very hard to put on another outstanding seminar for you. This will be our 27th year. Due to rising costs at hotels we have moved our seminar to Princeton, MN. We will be holding it at Trinity Crossing, 112 6th Ave N. Princeton, MN. We will not be in a hotel, but the hotels in town are within a mile of Trinity Crossing. We hope you will be able to attend again this year regardless of the move. Our classes are being taught by a group of skilled and innovative guest demonstrators and our own talented members. Our guest demonstrators are: Sandee Cherry, Rachelle Moffitt, Pat Plett, Pam Pommerenke, & Mar Heck. Many of our own Upper Midwest Dealers will be teaching also. We will have classes for the beginner to the very experienced, hopefully everyone will leave having learned something new. We have 5 - 1 hour classes on Friday and 5 - 45 minute classes on Saturday approximately 5 or 6 classes will be going on at one time. Don’t forget our “Style Show” on Friday night at the banquet. Those of you that participate in the Style Show will be entered into our drawing for a $50.00 gift Certificate. Everyone should wear something they have knit to the banquet, we just pick you out and have you tell us about the knitwear you’ve created! Something new this year, we will have a drawing at out noon lunch on Saturday. The Grand Prize will be a “Free” seminar package (excluding hotel) for 2012. Must be present to win and it will be non-transferable Contest Every year we have a different theme for our contest. This year our theme is “An Afghan” Everyone and anyone can knit an afghan no matter how simple or fancy, how big or small. Let’s all knit one so you will have a chance to win the contest. Remember you will be the judges! We will have a Gift Certificate for the first, second, and third place winners. Reservations Please make your reservations early at the hotel, if you haven’t already.
