| “Purls Of Joy” May 3 & 4, 2019 It just doesn’t seem possible that it is that time of year again. Yes, the “Purls Of Joy” Seminar will soon be here. Preparations are already underway. The Upper Midwest Knitting Machine Dealers are working very hard to put on another outstanding seminar for you. This will be our 35th year. Our classes are being taught by a group of skilled and innovative guest demonstrators and our own talented members. Our guest demonstrators is Susan Adams. Many of our own Upper Midwest Dealers will be teaching also. We will have classes for the beginner to the very experienced, hopefully everyone will leave having learned something new. We have 5 - 1 hour classes on Friday and 5 - 45 minute classes on Saturday approximately 5 or 6 classes will be going on at one time. Don’t forget our “Style Show” on Friday night at the banquet. Those of you that participate in the Style Show will be entered into our drawing for a $50.00 Gift Certificate. Everyone should wear something they have knit to the banquet, if you recall, we just pick you out and have you tell us about the knitwear you’ve created! Something new this year, we will have a drawing at noon lunch on Saturday. The Grand Prize will be a “Free” seminar package (excluding hotel) for 2020. Must be present to win and it will be non-transferable Contest Every year we have a different theme for our contest. This year our theme is “Wearable with 3 different Stitches”. Everyone and anyone can knit a scarf no matter how simple or fancy. Just make sure to use 3 different types of stitches in the construction such a section of tuck stitch, a section of slip stitch and a section of cables. Let’s all knit something so you will have a chance to win the contest. Remember you will be the judges! We will have a Gift Certificate for the first, second, and third place winners.
