Taitexma knitting machines are durable, metal-bed machines manufactured in Taiwan since 1989. They are heavily inspired by classic Brother knitting machine designs. They use similar terminology, levers, and 24-stitch punchcard systems, and many vintage Brother accessories can interchange with them.

 

Main Models Available

• ​TH-860 (Standard Gauge): 4.5mm gauge with 200 needles, punchcard pattern selection, and a lace carriage included (comparable to the Brother KH860)

• TH-160 (Mid-Gauge): 6mm manual machine with 164 needles, built-in intarsia capability, and no punchcards

• TH-260 & TH-260L (Bulky): 9mm gauge bulky machines with 114 or 150 needles and 24-stitch punchcard repeats (comparable to the Brother KH260)

 

Key Features and Compatibility

• Metal Beds: Built with solid metal needle beds for long-term durability.

• Punchcard System: Automatically pre-selects needles for fair isle, tuck, slip, and weave patterns.

• Accessories: Optional add-ons include ribbing attachments (like the TR-260 or TR-850), intarsia carriages, and four-color changers.
